— Terms

Short, because
it's your hardware.

The deal in plain language: you run the software, the tier sets the ceiling, your content stays yours. Effective 2026-09-12.

The service

TRNSCODE is self-hosted software: a master service and worker daemons you run on your own hardware, licensed per account. A tier sets your fleet ceiling — how many workers may register and how many master installs may bind to the account. Solo is free, forever, for one master and one worker. Paid tiers raise the ceilings; nothing else is held back.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and your team; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per organization is fine — workers and masters bind to the account, not to individual people.

Billing

Paid tiers bill monthly through Stripe's hosted checkout and billing portal. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel any time from your account dashboard; changes take effect through Stripe and a running master picks up its new ceiling at the next license revalidation. Cancelling stops future charges and the account returns to Solo at the end of the paid period.

Refunds

The first month of any new paid subscription carries a 7-day money-back guarantee: email info@trnscode.com from your account address within 7 days of the first charge and it is refunded and the subscription cancelled. Evaluation belongs on Solo, which is free forever — the guarantee exists for buying the wrong size, not as a free production window. After it, cancel any time and the plan simply runs out its paid period.

What stays yours

Everything you point TRNSCODE at and everything it produces: your sources, your encodes, your evidence, your presets and project configuration. We claim no rights over your content — it never reaches us in the first place.

Fair use

Don't circumvent license enforcement, share one account across organizations to dodge tiers, resell or sublicense the software, or use it to violate someone else's rights. That's the whole list.

The software stays ours

You are buying a license to run TRNSCODE, not the software itself. The code, design, product and the ideas in them remain TRNSCODE's intellectual property. Don't copy or redistribute the binaries beyond your own backups, don't modify or decompile them except where law expressly permits, and don't use access to the product to build or train a competing one. The TRNSCODE name and wordmark are ours too.

The honest disclaimer

TRNSCODE is provided as-is. We work hard on correctness — deterministic output and an 11-verifier evidence pass exist precisely so you never have to take our word for a deliverable — but we cannot warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Your rights stay intact

Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be waived, and nothing here claims anything from people who never agreed to these terms. If a clause is found unenforceable where you live, that clause bends — the rest stands.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes are dated on this page and noted in the changelog, and continued use after a change is acceptance. We may suspend accounts that break the fair-use rules — with notice and a chance to fix it, except for abuse of license enforcement. You can leave any time: cancel, export nothing (there is nothing of yours here to export), and uninstall.

Questions about any of this before you commit a pipeline to it: info@trnscode.com — you will get an answer from the person who wrote the software, not a legal autoresponder.
